Midnight Gaming Championship Hosts First Ever All-Pro Football 2K8 Tournament
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) July 31, 2007 -- The Midnight Gaming Championship (http://www.midnightgamingchampionship.com), presented by McDonald's, added two side tournaments featuring All-Pro Football 2K8, from 2K Sports and Wii Bowling. The tournaments kicked off last weekend and will continue at the August tournament stops in Little Rock, Ark., Salt Lake City, Utah, Norfolk, Va. and various locations throughout Michigan, as well as the four pick cities stops in September.
This is the first national tournament for the All-Pro Football game. It succeeds the NFL 2K series, which was the highest rated football video game. In this game, strategy is key. Players can build their football dream team, filling their roster with legendary players like Roger Staubach, famed Dallas Cowboys quarterback, and running back Barry Sanders. Besides bragging rights, winners of this tournament will receive a $25 McDonald's Arch Card and a copy of either newly released title The Bigs or All-Pro Football 2K8 for the Xbox 360.
Want to bowl like a pro? The MGC is also featuring a Wii Bowling tournament. Competitors can bowl their way to a prize package featuring a $25 McDonald's Arch Card and 3-month, 3-out membership to GameZnFlix.
"We are excited to bring yet another element to the Midnight Gaming Championship with the additions of the All-Pro Football 2K8 and Wii Bowling side tournaments," said Jeff Gross, president, Video Gamers League. "These games will be a nice addition to the other games on the tournament and give competitors another chance to win even more prizes."
The All-Pro Football and Wii Bowling tournaments join a line-up consisting of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, NBA 2K7 and Super Smash Bros. Melee, as well as the first ever mainstream mobile tournament from I-play featuring The Fast and the Furious: Fugitive and the first ever 3D tournament from Headplay featuring GTR2 FIA GT Racing. The MGC is produced by Video Gamers League and Affinity Sports & Entertainment Marketing, and competitions are taking place through September with a championship tournament held in Dallas/Fort Worth in October. Tournament participants must be at least 13 years of age.
