Three-Time Superbowl Winner Shannon Sharpe Gives Big Thumbs up to the DimeSports Fantasy Football League
Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) August 22, 2007 -- Former Denver Broncos great Shannon Sharpe, now a commentator for CBS Sports, has agreed to be a spokesperson for the DimeSports.net Fantasy Football League.
Sharpe, who won three Super Bowls (two with Denver and one with the Baltimore Ravens), signed the deal with DimeSports.net because: "I really like the way this fantasy league operates."
DimeSports.net founder and president, Robert Braddy, says his goal was to create a fantasy league that "lets you manage your team very realistically - just like a real general manager - dealing with salary caps, injuries and trades."
Sharpe says he likes Braddy's approach to fantasy football, making it affordable to ordinary fans - just $49.95 to join - and offering guaranteed prize money:
"I checked him out thoroughly and made sure DimeSports.net is legit. The prize money doesn't depend on the number or people who sign up."
DimeSports.net Fantasy Football offers players $250,000 in total prizes, including a grand prize payout of $100,000, with all prize money guaranteed and already on deposit at Wachovia Bank in Atlanta, Georgia.
The endorsement deal gives DimeSports.net the right to use Sharpe's image to promote the league. Sharpe will also contribute "Sharpe's Corner" - a pick-of-the-week column on the DimeSports.net website. In his column, Sharpe will highlight hot and not-so-hot players around the league, based their play and on his knowledge of the game.
In his 14 year career, Sharpe was renowned as a possession receiver. He caught over 800 passes - averaging nearly 60 per season - for over 10,000 yards and 62 touchdowns.
"Shannon may be the best tight end ever to play in this game," says Braddy. "If he was active today I'd definitely have him on my fantasy squad. He not only brought excellence to football, he also brought integrity. Those are qualities we strive for at Dime Sports, so I'm delighted he's agreed to endorse our fantasy league."
